Carolyn Ann Fudge, "Nana," was born in McKinney, Texas, December 4,1941 , to Wayne and Jim Frances Craver. She spent her school days there before marrying Frank Fudge on June 22, 1963, at the Wilcox Street Church of Christ. After the birth of her first son, Jerry, they moved to New York where Frank served in the United States Air Force until 1965. They moved to the Plano, Texas area and resided there until moving to Longview in 1974.
Carolyn served her Lord and was an unselfish servant of the Lord her whole life. She lived her life as a Christian, living out His word in every aspect of her life. She was a long time member of Alpine Church of Christ. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother, servant anywhere she could be of service. She was steadfast, calm, loving, generous, a good friend, neighbor, a supportive, kind, gentle, "sweeter than honey," encouraging "Nana" who loved children and spent hours with her grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 54 years, Frank of Longview, sons, Jerry Paul and wife Vicki of West Mountain, Joe Frank of Longview, daughter, Mary Frances and husband Marc Somers of Kilgore, brother, David Craver and wife Tammie of Gilmer, grandchildren, Jake Fudge and wife Brandi of Ore City, Seth Somers and wife Brittni of Spring Hill, Hannah Fudge of West Mountain, Zane Fudge of West Mountain, Luke Somers of Kilgore, Drew Fudge of Spring Hill, three great grandchildren, Cason Fudge of Ore City, Adaleigh Somers and Winnie Somers of Spring Hill, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 o'clock in the morning, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Alpine Church of Christ under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to the Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network through the Alpine Church of Christ.
