Services for Keith Anderson “Buster” Castleberry, 77 of Longview, will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12:00 prior to the service. Buster died Monday, June 19th, 2017 in Longview.
Survivors include his children, James Castleberry and wife Lisa; Karen Castleberry Floyd; John Castleberry; Casey Castleberry; Ricky and Kim Campbell; Kristy Crawford and husband Michael. Grandchildren Amanda Harrison and husband Josh; Austin Castleberry and wife Alicia; Joshua Floyd; Jessica Floyd; Justin Campbell; Ryan Campbell; Katelyn Campbell; Hunter Crawford and Makena Crawford. Other survivors include his brother, Larry Castleberry and Debbie Ballard. He was predeceased by his daughter, Vicky Lea Castleberry; his father, William Anderson, “Andy” Castleberry and mother, Doris Parker Castleberry.
A lifelong Longview resident and graduate of Spring Hill High School, he and his brother built The Woods of Castle Ridge and Castle Ridge Estates and Castle Oaks.
Buster was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time on a dozer. Owner of Castleberry Construction, Buster built numerous construction sites for residential and commercial properties. Coming from a lineage of some of the earliest settlers of Gregg County, his ancestors Elmira and Aaron T. Castleberry, II settled in Longview in 1845.
Serving as pallbearers will be close friends, Steve O’Rear; Billy Roy; Wade Turner; Pat O’Rear; Terry Capps and Tim Martin.
