Meshebia Renee Johnson, 17, of Longview, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday Night September 22, 2017, in Longview, Texas.
Meshebia was born on February 5, 2000, in Longview, Texas to her parents, Elbert and Margaret Johnson. Meshebia was currently a senior at Pine Tree High School. While inspiring to be a lawyer growing up, after many hours of painting nails, dressing up, primping and cutting hair, she was drawn to a career of Cosmetology and Fashion. When asked by family and friends of one word that reminded you of Meshebia, you would get answers like: stubborn, silly, eccentric, loving, loyal, pickles and her Mom’s favorite Renee. With a strong will and bullheadedness, Meshebia held a compassion for activities and people that were special to her. Often finding her outside catching frogs, involved in sport activities, having a silly or goofy smile and most of all her love for her family especially within this last year with her daughter, Averlee, Meshebia lead a vibrant, free spirited life and no one would lead her otherwise.
Meshebia was predeceased by sister, Saundra Lanae Johnson and grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Johnson, Allen and Margaret Smith and Linda Cameron.
She was survived by daughter, Averlee Dawson Malone, fiance’, Chad Malone, parents, Elbert Lee and Margaret Ann (Smith) Johnson, future in-laws, Bart and Piper Malone, siblings, Chris and Lana Johnson, Keith and Amber Smith, Jeff and Samantha Smith, Chris Smith, Joseph Johnson, Angel and Tyler Rowton, Phillip and Orenia Johnson, Amie Johnson, Jennifer Smith, Stephanie Smith, and Nancy Smith. Also, by long time friend, Peggy Henry, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Thursday, September 28th, 2017, from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock in the evening at Welch Funeral Home in Longview Texas.
Services will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2017, at 10:00 o'clock in the morning at the Pine Tree Road Auditorium located on the Pine Tree ISD Campus, 1803 Pine Tree Road, with Pastor John Bingham officiating with interment to follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
