Bobbie Sheridan, 86, of Harleton, went home peacefully to be with her loved ones, who have gone before, on Thursday, June 1st 2017. A Celebration of Life for Bobbie Sheridan will be 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon Monday, June 5th, 2017, in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home. The Reverand David Badders and the Reverend Kenneth Mills will officiate. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Harleton, Texas and will be officiated by Ottis Jarrell.
Mrs. Sheridan was born February 21st, 1931, in Gladewater, Texas. Bobbie was lovingly known as Mama by her children, MamaJo by her grandchildren, and JoJo by her great-grandchildren. She worked at Wickam Packing Plant, for Home and Health, owned multiple businesses, a trailer park, grocery stores, and trade stores, and was a homemaker.
She loved to take care of everyone. She also enjoyed dancing, music, and spending time with friends and family, but her greatest love was her family, and her greatest joy was giving to them.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her beloved husband, J.C.; her parents, Vidmer and Dollie Wages; an infant daughter, Judith Ann; her oldest daughter, Judy Sessom; her son, Eddie Lewis Wages Sheridan; and grandson, Ivan Dolley.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and J.R. Barrett and Lynn and Harold Burrow; three grandchildren, David Sessom, Amy Barrett, and Angela Barrett, all of Harleton; adopted granddaughter, Dana Rice, of Longview; 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and her fuzzy lap babies, Tinkerbell and Tesla.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Hospice of East Texas for their care and kindness, and a very special thanks to Douga and Deb Davis for being there to help with her.
The family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701.
