Phillip "Pee Wee" Gibson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He was born on December 21, 1943, to Jesse and Birdie Mae Gibson.
Pee Wee graduated from Hallsville High School in 1962 and played football. He served in the Army National Guard for six years.
He worked in the vending business for 40 years. Pee Wee married the love of his life, Jayne, on February 17, 2007. His passion was reading his Bible, but he also enjoyed watching the Yankees and going to the Hallsville Bobcat games with his brother, Ronnie. Pee Wee was a Master Mason and a member of Longview Masonic Lodge #404. He was a good Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Birdie Mae Gibson; brothers, Tommy Ray Gibson and Ted Gibson; and sister, Jimmye Sullivan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and soulmate, Jayne; brother, Ronnie Gibson and wife, Pam; sister, Lucy Edgar and husband, Don; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A personalized Garden Court visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2018, from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 10:00 o'clock in the morning Saturday, June 30, 2018, In the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
