Robert Andrue Moore, 76, of Longview departed this world Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born July 15, 1941, in Lassater, Texas to George Andrue Moore and Eula Bell Jenkins Moore of Jefferson. Andrue was a veteran of the United States Army. He served as an artilleryman with the 7th Army in Germany during the Cold War from 1962-1964 with Battery C 3rd Gun Battalion, 39th Field Artillery Regiment; 180mm atomic cannon “Annie”. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he held rank as Staff Sergeant in Headquarters Battery, 2nd Howitzer Battalion, 13th Field Artillery “Red Dragon Clan” from 1966-1967. He was a carpenter, mechanic, and handyman always willing to assist those around him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife Wanda Jones Moore of Diana, Texas; wife Eva Watson Moore of Longview, Texas; and two brothers Stoney and Buddy Moore.
Robert Andrue Moore leaves behind 6 children: Robert Keith Moore and wife Tammy of Hallsville; daughter Linda Moore of Longview; daughter Angie Moore Richardson and husband Keith of Longview; daughter Andrea Moore King and husband Jay of Harleton; daughter JoAnn Moore of Longview; son Brian Keith Moore and wife Sumer of Longview; 16 grandchildren: Alisha, Kenwon, Cody, Amanda, Chesley, Sandra, Colton, Brandon, Landry, Trendon, Remington, Jordan, Wesley, Holli, Stephanie, and Vicki; great-grandchildren: Emily, Charity, Katelynn, Ryder, Kayden, Brantley, Isaiah, Jasmine, Mesha, and Paris; siblings: Arthur Moore, Leroy Moore, Rex Moore, Sis Moore, George Ann Moore; and brother-in-law: Dwight Jones.
A personalized visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27th, 2018, in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home between the hours of 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock in the evening. A Life Celebration service will be held Thursday June 28th, 2018, at 10 o'clock in the morning in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home.
