Ruth Lecta Fidler of Gladewater, Texas went to be with her Lord on February 14th 2018. She was born on July 15, 1932 in Selbyville, WV. She was the daughter of coal miner William Caleb and Matilda Jane (Lee) Lewis. She began an amazing love story with her beloved husband Harold P. Fidler on Jan. 12, 1950. Together they raised children, loved people and ministered the love of Jesus, until he passed away on Oct. 9, 1986.
Ruth was a homemaker and a worshiper at Downpour and Treasure Churches. She loved painting, reading the Word, and cooking for her family and friends.
She cherished her family, her two sons, Paul "Buddy" Fidler and his wife, Jackie, and two daughters, Helen Kate McWaters (Thomas); children, Lillian, Baylee, Wyatt and Hanna Beth Cloninger (ex husband Travis), children Emma and Ava, and William Robert "Bobby" Fidler, and his wife, Laurie Rose, her two daughters, Lynne Elle Fidler and her two children, Sarah Elizabeth Korsah and husband (Ato) and daughter Genevieve (Vivvy), Caleb Matthew Ellenberger and his son Kameron Chazz. Vicki Jean Heldreth and her husband, Robert, and three children. Rachel Caline Raley (Tommy) children Shyanne, Autumn and Landon. Brandie Rose Raley (Michael) children Kaylean and Konner. Valerie Anne Raley (Steve) children Reanna and Donny.
She and Harold had and loved many nieces, nephews and foster children. Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Earl, Clyde and Ralph; and three sisters Ginny, Betty and Rose.
Celebration of life will be at Down Pour Church in Longview Texas on Saturday Feb. 17th at 5:00 p.m.
