Shirley Sue Greenwood-Hull

December 16, 1944 ~ May 13, 2018 (age 73)

Shirley Sue Greenwood, 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from a long term illness. Shirley was born December 16, 1944 in Coweta, OK to Eston Raymond and Beulah Belle (Croom) Greenwood.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 16 at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Rd, Longview, Texas. A private interment service for family and invited guest will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 to celebrate her life.

Shirley moved to Hallsville, Texas with her husband and three daughters from Spiro, OK in 1974, and she later raised her son in Hallsville.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna and husband, Tim Glenn of Flower Mound, TX; Angela Hull of Herndon, VA; Rhonda and husband, James Crossland of Hallsville, TX; and her son, Eric Slack and wife, Whitney of Longview, TX; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, James Bradley, Sarah, Seth, Austin, Christine, Hollie, Caleb, Emory, Caroline, and Luke; 4 great-grandchildren, Michael, Fiona, Mason and Virginia; 3 Sisters, Sybil Kyner of Kansas City, MO, Rosa Lee Judd of Bakersfield, CA, & Cheryl Conroe of Alma, AR; 2 Brothers, Richard Greenwood of Napa Valley, CA, & Charles Greenwood of San Jose, CA., and all her multiple friends and family on Facebook.

She worked in interior decorating for over 30 years. She loved working in her yard, watching birds, playing card games, and spending time with her family. Her new found love in the last few years was Facebook, where she was able to connect with classmates and family members that she had not heard from in many years.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful help and care given by the Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center 6th floor nursing staff, Dr. Scott O’Hern, Dr. Evan Mar, Kristen Cabbiness, case worker, and the Heartways Hospices staff
