A Celebration of Life for Tony Lee Jordan, 43, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tony was born October 30, 1973, in Monroe, Louisiana to Jerry Wayne, Sr. and Emma Shaw Jordan. He was owner and operator of an oilfield mechanical service. Tony was very strong in his Baptist faith. He loved his family and friends, drag racing and seeing the country on his motorcycle, and his little dogs. Tony was always friendly, laid back, fun, smart, simple and a hard worker. Tony was always willing to help someone help in need. He loved to hear all of Garth Brooks songs, Jamie Johnson's "In Color" and Mercy Me's "I Can Only Imagine."
Tony is survived by his wife, Lana Jordan of Gilmer; his mom and dad, Jerry and Emma Jordan of Darnell, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Jordan, Jr. and wife, Lori of Gilmer; sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Jacob Harrison of Darnell, Louisiana; three sons, Jeremy and Sarah Simms of Hallsville; Ashley and Joannie Jordan of Pioneer, Louisiana; and Josh Simms of Kilgore; daughter, Alisha Jordan; one granddaughter, Layken Jordan both of Pioneer, Louisiana; two grandsons, Landry Jordan of Pioneer, Louisiana, and Jayden Simms of Hallsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Odessa Carr; sister-in-law, Bobbie Carr; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Ann Carr all of Epps, Louisiana; six nephews and six nieces; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Peter Smith, Byron Jordan, Cody Bloodworth, Donald Neal Williamson, Davey Doty, Jeff Grace, Chris Rogers, Andy Goodman, Justin Allbritton, Ricky Bussey, Chuck Spears, Kregg Calhoun, and many, many more.
